We are Scuba-Fun, a premier scuba diving training facility in Key Largo. We are dedicated to helping you become a safe and proficient diver or to help you further develop your diving skills with additional training.
- We work in a multitude of specialties: basic diving, open water diving, deep water diving, underwater rescue, navigation, photography, wreck diving, search and recovery, even drysuit ... you name it. If there is a dive specialty we can help teach you, be it beginner or advanced, then contact us and we will show you a world like no other.
- Unlike traditional dive shops, Scuba-Fun offers flexibility. We assist a variety of people from all walks of life and skill levels with exactly the right training at exactly the right time. Our team will quickly learn your goals, needs, resources and constraints, then tailor a dive training solution that works best for you.
- We also go beyond just teaching you to dive. We support a wide variety of local activities and encourage our fellow divers to participate and explore the numerous attractions that are available throughout the Florida Keys.

- The Team
- We offer a full range of scuba classes and instruction, from Discover Scuba to professional Divemaster Training. The Scuba-Fun team loves to dive, and we show it! Our captains, instructors and divemasters are experienced full-time professionals who take your training and your safety seriously, and who also offer you a fun and relaxing dive experience.
Anya Elis (PADI IDC Staff Instructor and Master Scuba Diver Trainer)
Anya has been diving for 15 years and teaching for 6 years. She is well-known and appreciated as a diligent and patient dive instructor who is especially good at teaching children. Her friendly and fun manner has earned her the nickname "Sunshine" here in Key Largo... Anya knows Key Largo's Reefs inside and out and will happily also guide you on the best dive sites around Key Largo and our world famous wrecks.
Anya is originally from Southern Germany, but has travelled most of the world and speaks 5 languages. She has been living and teaching in Key Largo since the beginning of 2006.
- Rick Miller (PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor)
- Rick has been diving for 8 years and teaching for 2 years. The love of diving and people is what made him become a dive instructor after a successful career in sales. Customer service is second nature to him as well as being conservative and exact with all diving standards. Whether you’re 10 or 60 years old, with Rick, you will be confident in your ability to dive safely.
- Rick has traveled the world and lived in Wiesbaden and Stuttgart for a total of 8 years. He is as comfortable in German as he is in English.
- Kathi Pietroniro (PADI Assistant Instructor)
- Kathi has been diving for 17 years and has been on the Scuba-Fun team since May 2008. She is a very friendly, helpful and professional team member, and we never catch her without a smile on her face!
- Kathi was born and raised in Hamburg in Germany. She has spent a year in Israel und speaks English, German, French and Ivrit. Kathi has dove the Canary Islands and Egypt, and we are happy that she has chosen the beautiful Florida Keys as her next diving experience!
Evelin Morehead (Customer Service)
Evelin has been living in Key Largo for 5 years and has lots of experience in making sure dive guests are happy. Our divers love her fun, open and humorous manner. Evelin makes sure that everybody is happy and everything works out great.
Evelin is originally from Bad Nauheim in Germany and has travelled the world. She speaks 4 languages. Evelin has been living and working in Key Largo since 2003.
Garl Harrold (Everglades-Specialist and best Kayak-Guide)
Garl is a gentle, soft-spoken guy who knows every rock in the Everglades and every creature that lives under it. Take a guided Kayak Tour through the Mangroves in the ocean or through the Everglades. Garl can show you the manatees, the alligators, the dolphins and the sharks, and many beautiful birds of all kinds.
Rob Doyle (USCG Master Captain and Master Scuba Diver Trainer)
Rob has been diving for 37 years and teaching for 8 years. Rob is known for his relaxed but fun manner. Be careful, his good mood is contageous! Rob has been working in the Florida Keys for 7 years, so he knows his way around the ocean and reefs around Key Largo very well.
Rob is originally from Australia, but has travelled most of the world. He has been living and working in Key Largo since 2000.
Jesus Gudino (PADI Divemaster)
Jesus has been diving for 13 years and has been working as a Divemaster and Diveguide for 10 years. He speaks spanish and english. Nobody knows the reefs in Key Largo as well as he does! Jesus knows every nook and hole in our reefs and knows exactly where the creatures hang out. We call him the "Fish Whisperer". If you go out on a dive with him, you will find out why.
Jesus is originally from Cancun in Mexico. He has been living and working in Key Largo since 2001.
Jessica Morris (PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor)
Jessica came to Florida almost 4 years ago to become a scuba instructor. She is happy to be around the beautiful clear water here in the Keys after diving the mucky lakes and quarries of the Midwest US. Jessica enjoys underwater photography and identifying all the fish and critters together with her students
Jessica is originally from Kansas, where she worked all summer on the family farm to pay for diving lessons when she was 15. She has been living and working in Key Largo since 2003.
- Joe Berg (Underwater-Video-Professional and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor)
- Joe has been diving for 10 years and has been perfecting his underwater video skills for just as long. He is a real professional when it comes to underwater filming, and his beautiful DVD productions are wonderful souvenirs of great days and dives.

Bluewater Diver Crew:
Brent Hillard (PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor) has been diving for 16 years and teaching for 10 years. Brent is a calming influence in our team, which explains why his students are completely relaxed with him. Brent loves to show new divers the underwater world and also loves to help advanced divers master and enjoy the sport even more.
Brent is originally from Dallas, Texas. He has been living and working in Key Largo since 1996.
Glenn Marvel (USCG Master Captain) has been diving for 32 years and has been working as a boat captain for more than 10 years. He loves to meet new people from all different walks of life and to offer them a safe and realxed diving experience. His great sense of subtle humor puts a smile on everybody's face.
Glenn is originally from New Jersey, and has sailed all the oceans. He has been living and working in Key Largo since 2000.
- Scuba-Do Crew:
- Mark Cianciulli (USCG Master Captain) decided to get his Captain's license after working as divemaster for a few local dive businesses. Taking a break from the Keys, after eight years of running boats, he worked in the software industry for a global software company. After just a few years of success, Mark returned to Key Largo and is the proud new owner of Scuba-Do. "It was time to come home!"
- Mark is originally from Maryland, and began traveling to the Florida Keys 1990. Finally, he decided he loved the Keys enough to move to Key Largo permanently in 1992 and start a career in the dive industry.
Our Dive Boat
- All our dive boats are regularly inspected by the United States Coast Guard. They all have oxygen, first aid and all safety equipment on board. Our captains and are crew are full-time dive professionals, who take your comfort and your security seriously while trying to make your dive experience a relaxed and fun one.
- Sea Dweller III
- 20 Divers Maximum
- The "Sea Dweller III" is a fifty foot dive boat that is used for our reef dives.
- She is a comfortable and fast dive boat. Although certified for 45 passengers, we usually limit the seating to 20 divers per trip. Her flush deck and sturdy fin ladders make diver entries and exits easy and comfortable.

- Scuba-Do is a custom dive boat. It was rebuilt a few years back - by divers, for divers! She is not just a boat you dive from….she is a great dive boat, innovatively laid out with the best diver comfort and convenience in mind! With fresh water shower and marine head, she is designed for maximum comfort.
- Tropical Adventure
- The Tropical Adventure is a 42 foot Newton that has been custom designed for maximum diver comfort and functionality. With two 300 HP engines, you'll spend less time riding, and more time diving. It's certified for 32 divers.
- Tropical Voyager
- 20 Divers Maximum
- The Tropical Voyager is over 40 feet long and can comfortably accommodate up to 25 divers, but we only fill it with that many if it's a group that knows each other, otherwise we hold it down to 20 divers so there is always plenty of room and comfort to move around and set up your equipment.
- Santana and Ocean Diver
- Comfortable and fast 50 foot dive boats with heads, showers and drinking water. Regular wreck diving schedule.
- Bluewater Diver
- 10 Divers Maximum
- The "Bluewater Diver" is a Coast Guard inspected thirty foot custom open transom dive vessel. She's fast, comfortable, and never crowded! While Coast Guard certified for 15 passengers, open seating is routinely limited to just ten divers per two location trip. Her flush deck, open transom, and sturdy boarding ladder were designed with diving in mind.
